After receiving a complaint about environmental violations in the town of Bteddine El Loqch, in the district of Jezzine, a representative from the Terre Liban association visited the site to conduct an inspection. It was found, following a field investigation, that landfill and waste dumping activities had taken place in the town’s forests, specifically in the Sakiyat Mar Youssef area on the Harf El Meshayekh road.

As a result, a meeting was held with a member of the municipal council and its president, Mr. Georges Salama, who committed to taking the necessary measures to comply with the laws in force.

On its part, the Terre Liban association will continue to follow the case until the situation is restored to its original state.
